Jahangir Latif Khatri is a handblock printer from Dhamadka village in Kutch, known for its printing tradition. He comes from a family which has been practicing the craft for generations. They traditionally sold to people from local communities, and fabrics were printed with traditional designs in natural colors. Today Jahangir mostly prints with chemical colors, and his clients are from Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat and Delhi. His best selling product is printed yardage sets for women’s garments.
